The Time for Beginnings

There is just something about New Year’s that gets the blood pumping and the brain working overtime on new ideas. We make these resolutions (that we rarely keep, but that doesn’t stop us, does it?), and we determine to do something new, or to restart something not so new, and all because the days on a calendar suddenly change.

It’s strange if you really think about it. Time doesn’t exactly exist. I mean, most animals don’t recognize a watch or clock, and definitely not a calendar, but anyone who has pets knows that they can become very aware of the time if you feed them at exactly the same time every day. Even though they can’t read a clock, they can sense that it’s dinner time, and they’ll let you know about it if you “forget!”

Weekend Coffee Share: #JustAddTea is coming back!

If we were chit chatting over coffee today, we’d be sitting in a very busy IHOP waiting for my waitress to come take my order. She asked me if I needed to look at the menu for a minute… nearly 10 minutes ago. Not cool.

But, in the meantime, I’d tell you that I feel excited about 2017. I am very convinced that it is nearly impossible for any year to be as tumultuous as 2016 was for me.

Tonight on #JustAddTea: The Future!

Last week I had to cancel our weekly Twitter Chat so I could see an advanced screening of the movie Nerve, and while I missed talking to everyone, it was a movie that is definitely worth it. Even though the movie doesn’t come out officially for another week, I saw that there are several places around Houston already showing movie times, so expect my review to post shortly. Like, maybe later today or tomorrow at the latest.

In the meantime though, our virtual tea party is back on for tonight!
