#DSFWeeklyRewind: Make a Choice.

(This was supposed to post yesterday, so just pretend you’re reading it on Sunday)

Good afternoon Rewinders! I have to admit I’m in a fairly wonderful mood! While on the one hand, it seems imminent that I’m going to be forced to do things that aren’t what’s best because Some don’t see the value in my way, on the other (the one that is more important), I’m being constantly reaffirmed for my gifts. My success lately is in being able to identify that those positive affirmations of my talents are more important, and more true than the criticisms in my methods.

And that’s where today’s title comes in: Make a choice…

#DSFWeeklyRewind: Christmas is so close!!

Good afternoon Weekly Rewind folks! I’m running a little late this weekend, but I’m here to rewind this week for you. For those of you who wished my week this week would be better, thank you for the sentiment, although I’m not sure if it was better.

It was kind of a toss up, with half the week being frustrating and the other half being relatively nice.

Which is an odd thing to say, given that the “nice” part of my week included starting my monthly…

#DSFWeeklyRewind: Need a break.

A few days ago I posted about an incident that had me dwelling pondering on my autism. The rest of this week could easily have been another example of things that on some level help to remind me that I’m not actually abnormal… well, I am abnormal, but only because I’m not neurotypical. But I’m not abnormal aside from my well defined abnormality.

It’s confusing, I know.

Hurricane Harvey, or Tropical Storm Harvey, has done quite a bit more damage than I thought, and my school has been canceled until September 5th due to the damage there. So, I am very glad I left when I did! And also, I’m sorry if my tone was flippant in this post.

This week’s coffee share title is something I wish I could take credit for, but it’s actually something I’ve seen floating around Facebook because of Hurricane Harvey, which actually, I’m thinking (at least for my part of the world) is thankfully turning out to be a bit of a let down.

Weekend Coffee Share: Two for One

This weekend, if we were discussing our lives over caffeinated beverages, we’d be again at the Panera Bread near my house. It’s tax free weekend here, which (for those of you not in Texas or various other states in the United States) is basically a shopping holiday. It’s like Black Friday, but there’s no sales tax on clothes and school supplies. I was supposed to be shopping, but instead I got my nails done and am now enjoying a delicious Caesar salad with Chicken while I compose my actual shopping lists.

I’ll venture out tomorrow… if I have time.

Weekend Coffee Share: And so it begins

This weekend, if we were talking over coffee, we would be having a late night slumber party, watching Star Trek Enterprise (I’d not seen it until relatively recently), and waiting for my laundry to finish. My roommate is out of town for the evening, and so I’m using the time for some binge watching while I completely relax. I had some pizza, took a bubble bath, and am now enjoying some wine and strawberries.
