Well hello there, Weekly Rewinders! I’m running a little late this weekend. Today has been an interesting day, so as we rewind, we might as well work our way backwards.
Also, as part of my new outlook for this blog (and, well, this whole year, actually) I’ve made a playlist. I tried to keep it really positive and relatively new. Anything that is older is something that I absolutely love, or makes me feel particularly happy or at peace.
Those are the emotional goals for this year: happy and at peace. The rest of the rewind follows the playlist below. It’s not in any particular order, so hit shuffle and enjoy!

This weekend, if we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I had a routine for a whole 4 days. Four days of blissful organization, repetition, a calming, soothing routine… and then yesterday it was totally disrupted.
And I’m not handling it well. Continue reading “Weekend Coffee Share:They’re Back!”
I’ve never been one to really put too much stock in the whole “New Year, New You” movement. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I believe whole-heartedly in the ideas of renewal and growth and change, but at your core, you are who you are. That’s the reason why expecting partners to change drastically usually ends in heartbreak.
But, and it’s a pretty big but at the moment, it seems that my new year is forcing me to embrace change!

A lot has happened since my last recap, way back in the beginning of August! I’d hurt my ankle in the month of July, I was unsure of where I was going to live, I didn’t know where I stood with just about anything. Now, with the beginning of November (and NaNoWriMo), I feel much more stable in most aspects of my life.
There are exceptions of course.
As always, the Boy is one of them. Continue reading “October 2015 Recap”
Per request, I finally saw the Ant-Man movie and am thus doing a review. I also have to admit that as an avid watcher of most things Marvel, I was excited about this one, but not so much as I was about Avengers: Age of Ultron or some of the other parts of the franchise. I mean, come on! A guy who can shrink to the size of an ant? How can that be cool?
I’m glad to say I was pleasantly surprised with this one. My expectations were low, and while that’s not why I hadn’t gotten around to watching it, it is partly why I wasn’t in a hurry. I’m glad that a few of my friends have asked where my review was, and even more glad that a certain friend of mine told me that she found this one worthy of being part of her very selective personal collection! It was mainly because of her recommendation that I pushed myself to see this one (wore that godforsaken boot today… not fun).
But it was a good call! I would have been really disappointed if I’d missed seeing it in the theater. And in 3D to boot!
As always, here’s my warning: From this point forward there will probably, most definitely be Spoilers! Continue reading “It’s About Time! (I finally saw Ant-Man!)”
For those of you who get your news of my life from on here, I owe you a huge apology! For the month of July I started out strong and then just disappeared. Continue reading “July 2015 Recap”
Today in the challenge, I’m supposed to write about someone who inspires me. My mother is probably my biggest inspiration. Shhh… Don’t tell her! We don’t want her getting a big head about it!
Seriously though, she’s done a lot for me, and even though I thought she stole my dream of becoming a teacher, I am still in awe of her awesomeness.
Yesterday also happened to be her birthday. Yes, she’s an Independence Baby… or whatever it is you call someone born on the Fourth of July (which is not my favorite Tom Cruise movie, by the way). Continue reading “JWC Day 4 : Ode to my Mother”
